Roadmap

This page is a high-level view. It is not a commitment to dates or scope — use it to see direction of travel. It mirrors the internal product plan: staging and production hosting (A1) are live; the main build focus ahead of wider beta is the shared KB (A5). See Changelog for what shipped.

Items the team is actively driving for private beta readiness. A1 (staging + prod env, webhooks, smoke) is donehttps://staging.web.ssscript.app and https://web.ssscript.app with Clerk, Polar, and Turso wired per apps/web README § Staging.

  1. Shared knowledge base (A5) — Retrieval over curated docs, starter packs for our base templates, agent rules and skills in the same versioning/prompt story, and token budgets. This sits on top of the live Webflow MCP context you already get today (site-aware tools); it adds searchable, pack-scoped knowledge—not a replacement for MCP.

Planned or exploratory work after the current focus, in parallel without blocking releases, or as during-beta quality tracks. Not exhaustive; ordering follows internal launch lanes (beta quality vs post-beta expansion).

AI & context (often parallel / optional vs beta date)

  • AI performance (A7) — Latency metrics, clearer phased status in the UI, smarter context budgets, optional routing tweaks.
  • Project map / AI awareness (A8) — Cached Webflow project digest and fresher context with fewer redundant MCP calls.

During beta (quality & supportability)

  • Webflow Designer deep link (B8) — Copyable Webflow-shaped deep link (Designer / site settings for the linked site) next to the embed loader, plus a button in the file tab on relevant dist files to copy or open that link for faster paste-into-Designer workflows.
  • Quick mode (idea) — Optional path for very small edits: call the model API directly for a single file instead of the full runtime loop, same accept/reject flow.
  • Webflow-specialized fine-tuned model (B6) — Optional catalog model (e.g. fine-tuned on a Webflow/MCP-aware corpus) once training and quality make sense; not a prerequisite for widening beta.
  • Support tooling — In-app diagnostics / export for support, publish guardrails, runbooks.
  • Webflow custom runtime mode — Dedicated agent profile optimized for MCP-heavy workflows and long-running terminal tasks (may align with runtime/agent config work).
  • HTML/CSS → Webflow paste tool — Agent tool that turns model-generated markup into a component or snippet you can paste in Webflow Designer when MCP isn’t connected (fallback alongside live MCP workflows).
  • HTTPS / local dev — Trust and certificate polish for advanced local setups.

Platform & integrations (mostly post–first beta)

  • Designer extension ↔ desktop — Shared component catalog is already live (web showcase, in-app library, extension paste). Next: optional loopback WebSocket from the desktop app to the extension for pairing and future commands (no legacy bridge MCP — that path was removed).
  • GitHub — Repo link, push/branch/merge from the app.
  • Webflow App / deeper Designer — Broader than MCP-only flows; longer horizon (complements MCP).

Product & operations

  • Telemetry operations — Dashboards, alerts, retention policy for usage events (ingest already exists).
  • Marketing site & waitlist — Public landing and signup funnel.

Quality & scale (launch-readiness and growth)

  • UI polish — Header task status, long-stream readability, etc.
  • Shared UI component library, Designer component import/export, enterprise (teams, BYO hosting), referrals, multiple open files in the editor, automated E2E tests, menu bar notifications for long-running jobs, parallel multi-agent / shared memory (research) — post–first beta expansion tracks in the product plan.

  • Changelog — What shipped recently (including unreleased work-in-repo notes).
  • AI edits — Current AI features.
  • Documentation roadmap — Internal checklist for this docs site (not the product roadmap).
