Updating the app
Section titled “Updating the app”On startup, the app checks for a newer version. If one is available, a toast appears:
- Update available: v… (installed: v…) with the release notes.
- Download & install — downloads the installer for your platform (
.dmgon macOS,.exe/.msion Windows) and opens it automatically. Complete the install steps, then restart Ssscript. - Later — dismiss and keep working; you’ll be reminded on a future launch.
Updates are manual to confirm — the app downloads and opens the installer, but you finish the install and relaunch yourself. Your projects and settings are preserved. If the download fails, the toast offers Open in browser so you can grab the installer from ssscript.app directly. See the Changelog for what’s new.
